The money you invest in a coach is only one part of the journey. Your time and energy must me present in sessions and outside of sessions for true change. If you are not ready to dedicate your time and energy to your self-love journey, then don’t bother.
While we are all out here doing life it’s important to be clear and honest about your actual commitment and dedication. If you’re not going to do the work, don’t bother.
Truly, do you have the mental energy to dedicate to this one thing, which by the way is the most important, you? If you aren’t willing to secure yourself first, don’t bother.
Coaching looks to the future, therapy looks to the past. If you are stuck telling the same story of coulda, woulda, shoulda, don’t bother.
Coaching is an intimate, sacred emotional energy that is shared with two beings. Make sure that who you give your hard earned money too is the right one for you.
Different coaches have different ideologies of ways to coach. Use social media, youtube, free discovery calls, and/or podcasts to learn more about your potential coach’s style of teaching, and belief system to ensure it aligns with who you are.
There are coaches who have claimed to have worked with black women, but only working with a “token” or a hand full when you’ve seen hundreds of clients is not experienced. Make sure to get receipts when seeking a Non-African Diaspora life coach.
All coaches have billing practices, refund policies, cancellation policies, session expectations, and confidentiality policies. Find out what those details are immediately after or before you have signed on to work with them.
