  • What’s on your Happy List?

Hey ladies, it’s your Me-Time Coach Thea D, and today we’re talking about something super important – the power of a happy list! Honey, between jobs, spouses, kids, friends, and family members, we can sometimes forget to make sure that we are happy and filled with joy even when times are busy and tough.- work, family, friends, and more. Not to mention the mental work we have to do with dates to remember, things to organize, list to make, appointments to set up, returns, mailing letters, picking up dry cleaning, and the list goes on and on. It can be hard to find time for ourselves, let alone prioritize our own happiness. But that’s where a happy list comes in.

A happy list is simply a list of things that make you happy and bring you joy. It’s a reminder to take care of yourself and prioritize your own happiness. By intentionally setting aside time, picking a date, selecting activities that you enjoy, and then following through with making them happen, you will feel better emotionally and physically. When I tried this out during my time in the Coaching Guild, I was amazed by how much of a positive impact it had on me.

Here are some tips for making a happy list that truly serves you:

    1. Reflect on What Brings You Joy: The first step in making a happy list is to take a moment to reflect on the things that make you happy. Think about the activities, people, and experiences that bring a smile to your face. Whether it’s dancing, singing, spending time with loved ones, or something else entirely, like a nice glass of wine in total silence (was that too specific? LOL), it’s important to identify what truly brings you joy
    2. Write it Down: Once you’ve identified what makes you happy, it’s time to write it down. This could be in a journal, on your phone, or on a sticky note – whatever works for you. The important thing is to have a physical reminder of what makes you happy so that you can refer back to it whenever you need a little pick-me-up.
    3. Keep it Simple: Your happy list doesn’t have to be complicated or elaborate. In fact, it’s often the simplest things that bring us the most joy. Maybe it’s taking a bubble bath, going for a walk in nature, or listening to your favorite song. Whatever it is, keep it simple and easy to incorporate into your daily routine.
    4. Make it a Priority: Once you’ve created your happy list, it’s time to make it a priority. Schedule time in your day or week to do something from your happy list. Even if it’s just 10 minutes a day, it’s important to take care of yourself and do things that make you happy.
    5. Revisit and Revise: Finally, it’s important to revisit and revise your happy list regularly. Your interests and priorities may change over time, so make sure your happy list reflects that. Keep adding to it and revising it as needed, so that it truly serves you and brings you joy.

Ladies, the bottom line is this: you deserve to be happy. PERIOD You deserve to prioritize your own happiness and well-being, no matter how busy life gets. By creating a happy list and incorporating it into your routine, you’re putting yourself first and taking care of yourself. So go ahead, make your happy list, and live your best life!

  • Hey Girl, I’m Your Me-Time Coach!

Hey girl, I’m glad you found me, and as you can see I’m excited as hell to see you! I’m a life coach who believes in the power of universal energy and that we are all Goddesses with the power to create whatever we want. I don’t practice or believe in any form of religion or Eurocentric doctrine that was used to enslave and murder my ancestors or any other brown people on this planet.

As a wife of almost 20 years and a mother of homeschooling children, I understand the challenges of balancing work, family, and personal growth. I believe that the American school system is not a place for our little black boys and girls to grow, be authentic, and stay mentally healthy and confident. Therefore, I’ve been homeschooling my children for years and I can help other mothers who want to do the same.

I believe that life is meant to be enjoyed, not spent working like a slave to make everyone else happy or make ends meet. As a coach, I can help you rediscover your passions and priorities, and give you practical strategies to make the changes necessary to live a fulfilling life.

I know firsthand that sometimes it’s your own blood that destroys your future, and I believe you can delete anyone out of your life that is of no good, including your own damn family. Sometimes it’s tough to make these decisions, but it’s necessary for our personal growth and well-being.

Here are some of my first-generation life facts, and more are to come: I’m a college graduate, and pursuing law school in 2024 to change the legacy of my great-grandchildren. I got married before having babies and adopted a vegetarian plant-based lifestyle. My family and I have adopted the nomad family lifestyle to live where we feel comfortable and free, after all, my ancestors died for us to have this purposeful and intentional life.

With the help of my Master Coach Lisa Marie Hayes at The Coaching Guild– The best damn coaching program on the planet. PERIODT.  I have been able to identify my strengths, opportunities, and what the hell I want to do for black women in my coaching practice.  Through my coaching practice, I can help you identify and work through your fears, set achievable goals, and create actionable plans to achieve those goals. As a coach, I’m here to support, guide, and hold you accountable as you progress toward the life you want to live.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unfulfilled in any area of your life, I would love to connect with you and help you achieve your goals. Let’s work together to create a life that you’re excited to wake up to every day.

So, if you’re ready to take the first step towards a more fulfilling life, I invite you to schedule a free 30-minute discovery call with me.
